? Jerome Bettis Jr. has committed to Notre Dame as a wide receiver. He’ll play at his dad’s alma mater.

Bettis Jr. chose Notre Dame over Duke, Texas A&M, and Mississippi, according to ESPN.com. He previously played running back, but he’s now a receiver. He also used to wear No. 36, but he changed to No. 4 in grade school. He wants to create his own legacy.

“One of the biggest things was changing my number, and so me really getting my number away from his, that was a big step for me realizing that at the end of the day, I’m my own man,” Bettis, Jr. told ESPN.com. “I love my dad and I love everything that I guess comes with him being my father, but at the same time, I create my own legacy and my own journey.”

Along with Jerome Bettis, former Steelers Ike Taylor and Plaxico Burress’ sons have committed to Notre Dame, as well.

Bettis Jr. is heading into his senior year at Woodward Academy in Atlanta.

? Chris Simms of NBC Sports thinks the Steelers might have a special package for Justin Fields.

“Really like what the Steelers have done with their QB room. Maybe they have a special package for Justin Fields. Either way he should get a chance to develop and hopefully learn a bit from a veteran in Russ,” Simms wrote on X.

? Former Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley thinks it’s going to be a nightmare for defensive coordinators to prepare for Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

“I would hate to be a DC preparing to play @DangeRussWilson and Fields . I see a series a half for Fields that brings different element . Not enough practice time,” Haley wrote on X.

? Mike Tomlin gave a shoutout to Duquesne’s men’s basketball team for making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1977.

? WPXI: After hearing the news that Kenny Pickett would be heading to Philadelphia, some Steelers fans felt the need to get rid of his jersey. Primanti Bros. held an event on Sunday to help those fans get something back.

The restaurant and bar accepted Pickett jerseys in exchange for $25. Jerseys were only accepted at the Primanti Bros. in the Strip District.

Some fans also brought in hats and t-shirts too.

Primanti Bros. representatives say the event was a way to help Pittsburgh Steelers fans.

“We were thinking, a lot of people got stuck with jerseys, a lot of people invested like $100, $150, whatever a jersey costs, and we wanted to give back a little bit for the people who got stuck with that Kenny jersey,” said Ryan Wilkinson, vice president of marketing with Primanti Bros.

? Legendary Steelers center and Hall of Famer Mike Webster was born on this day in 1952 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.

? Pete Schrager of Good Morning Football gave high praise to Steelers general maanger Omar Khan for acquiring quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.
