๐Ÿˆ With Jalen Hurts still in the concussion protocol, Kenny Pickett is set to start for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. It will be Pickett’s first start since Dec. 3 of last year when he was with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Hurts suffered the concussion in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders. Pickett completed 14-of-24 pass attempts for 143 yards with a touchdown and interception in relieve.

Pickett had a solid performance, outside of the ill-advised interception. The loss certainly wasnโ€™t on him, as Eagles star wide receiver DeVonta Smith dropped a pass over the middle field just before the two minute warning, which allowed the Commanders a chance to come back and win the game, 36-33.

Pickett revealed after the game that he suffered a rib injury. He told the media this week that he’s a full-go and will wear extra padding for Sunday.

๐Ÿˆ An unduplicated audience of nearly 65 million U.S. viewers watched the Christmas games on Netflix, according to Nielsen.  The Ravens vs. Texans (24.3M average minute audience) and Chiefs vs. Steelers (24.1M) are the most-streamed NFL games in U.S. history.

๐Ÿˆ As expected, the NFL dominated viewership over the NBA on Christmas Day. It wasn’t even close.

๐Ÿˆ On this day in1975, legendary sports broadcaster Myron Cope created the Terrible Towel. An iconic symbol of Pittsburgh pride, the Terrible Towel has been a backdrop to some of the biggest moments in Pittsburgh Steelers history.

๐Ÿˆ Dan Orlovsky of ESPN broke down Russell Wilson’s crucial red zone interception in Wednesday’s loss to Kansas City.

๐Ÿˆ Steelers All-Pro defensive tackle Cam Heyward was the highest-graded Steeler (90.1) in Week 17 against the Chiefs, according to Pro Football Focus.

๐Ÿˆ The Chiefs are among four teams who have not scored at least 30 points this year. The three other teams are the New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants.

๐Ÿˆ Steelers linebacker Elandon Roberts let some frustration out on Chiefs All-Pro center Creed Humphrey during Wednesday’s game.

๐Ÿˆ Najee Harris is the fifth running back since 2000 to rush for over 1,000 yards in each of their first four seasons. He joined LaDainian Tomlinson (2001-04), Clinton Portis (2002-05), Adrian Peterson (2007-10) and Chris Johnson (2008-11).
