? The Pittsburgh Steelers have not won a playoff game in seven years. It’s the longest draught since pre-1972 for the franchise. A whopping 23 teams have won a playoff game more recently than the Steelers.

? The Steelers have allowed 202 points in their last five playoff games (all losses), the most in any five-game span in NFL history, according to Scott Kacsmar. Furthermore, the Tomlin-era Steelers have allowed 31+ points and no takeaways in five playoff games, the second-most since 1970 among all NFL teams.

? The Steelers have allowed 30+ points in five consecutive playoff games, which is the longest streak in NFL history.

? The Steelers are tied with the Washington Commanders (5) for the second-longest active playoff losing streak, behind only the Miami Dolphins’ six straight losses (2000-2023).

 

? Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver generated a season-high 10 pressures on 28 pass rushes in Monday’s wild-card win over the Steelers, according to Next Gen Stats. It’s the most pressures by a DT in a playoff game over the last six seasons. Oliver had six of his 10 pressures come against center Mason Cole across 13 matchups (4 quick pressures).

Cole had a 28.7 Pro Football Focus grade against the Buffalo. He allowed a team-high six pressures. All year, he had just three games with a grade north of 70. Cole was the worst pass-blocking center in the NFL, minimum 1,000 snaps.
