? The last time Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick recorded an interception was Week 17 of the 2022 season. He was the co-leader in interceptions that season with six. Fitzpatrick forced no turnovers in 2023, and he has just one forced fumble this season.
? The Detroit Lions are signing former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Kwon Alexander off the Denver Broncos practice squad. Alexander played with the Steelers last season and started at linebacker but he suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Week 9. He was not re-signed during the offseason.
? Peter Schrager of NFL Network thinks the Bengals will beat the Steelers on Sunday.
“Bengals, 4-7, they’re gonna be the ultimate spoiler. You know they’re gonna win this game. I’ll put everything on this game. This is just what they do. Like, really Bengals? and then Joe Burrow is gonna throw for 400 yards and mess things up. Bengals are not going away,” Schrager said.
? Broderick Jones said Coach Tomlin already laid down rules to the team about Hard Knocks.
“Coach T already laid those ground rules about Hard Knocks. We’ve still got a job to do. For me, I’m not a big TV guy, not a big camera guy, so I try to stay out of the way,” Jones said.
? T.J. Watt addressed Myles Garrett’s statement that he was the best defensive player in the NFL.
“It’s not about the person. I have a lot of respect for every single NFL player,” Watt said. “I think there’s a lot of great pass rushers, a lot of great players in the NFL. It’s more so the voting and how that all happened was where we were up upset.”
