? Pro Football Focus ranked Pat Freiermuth as the 15th-best tight end in the NFL.

“After producing well as a rookie and taking it up a notch in 2022, Freiermuth battled through injuries in 2023, and his play took a dip as a result. With better quarterback play in 2024 and a healthy season, Freiermuth should bounce back as a solid weapon over the middle of the field,” John Kosko of PFF said.

? Chris Simms thinks Russell Wilson has to play loose and just let it fly.

“I would say he’s a guy that still has top-notch ability. But he’s lost his way in trusting himself and trusting what he sees on the football field, and being a little too, I think, worried about his overall standing in the pantheon of quarterbacks and what it might look like if he plays this way in this game or whatever else. He lets too much of that stuff influence him, in my opinion. I wanna say to him just like, ‘Hey man, stop thinking so much. Just let it fly a little bit,’” Simms said on his podcast.

? Former Steelers linebacker Vince Williams was on the field coaching up the defensive lineman at OTAs on Wednesday. It’s unclear if Williams was just serving as an advisor or if he’s an intern with the Steelers this season. Williams has been the linebackers coach at Pine-Richland High School since 2022.

? Louis Riddick thinks Justin Fields will take over as the Steelers’ starting quarterback.

“This offense is tailor-made for exactly what he needs, I believe, to take his game to another level,” Riddick said on ESPN’s NFL Live.

? The average over/under point total for the Steelers the last two seasons was 39.7, the second-lowest in the league.
