🏈 The Buffalo Bills are asking for fans’ help shoveling snow ahead of Sunday’s playoff game. The team wants anyone interested to meet at the stadium at 10 p.m. on Saturday night. The Bills are paying $20 per hour, providing complimentary food and a snow shovel. Must be 18 or older.

The National Weather Service has officially issued a Winter Storm Watch for the greater Buffalo, New York area in effect from the afternoon of Saturday, January 13 through Monday, January 15. AccuWeather notes that they’re expected to see 1-2 feet of snow in the area between Saturday and Monday, projecting a high of 24°F and a “RealFeel” temperature of -1°F.

The NFL has stayed in close contact with the office of New York Governor Kathy Hochul regarding weather conditions in Buffalo. There is no scheduling change at this point to Sunday’s Bills-Steelers game in Orchard Park.

🏈 Former Steelers inside linebacker Vince Williams said on X that “It’s going to be snowing on Porter island this weekend.” Porter will have the task of defending All-Pro wide receiver Stefan Diggs. Mike Tomlin called Diggs an elite route runner during his press conference on Tuesday. In 501 coverage snaps this season, Joey Porter Jr. has allowed a 65.9 passer rating and just one touchdown on 53 targets, according to Pro Football Focus.

🎂 Happy Birthday to former Steelers running back Bam Morris, born on January 13, 1972 in Cooper Texas. Morris was selected by the Steelers in the third round out of Texas Tech in the 1994 NFL Draft. Morris was productive for the Steelers but legal trouble led to him being released after two seasons. On June 27, 1996, Morris pleaded guilty to felony possession of marijuana in a plea bargain deal in front of a Rockwall County, Texas judge. Police testified that they found 6 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop. He was fined $7,000 and sentenced to 200 hours of community service and six years’ probation. He was cut by the Steelers after the guilty plea and signed as a free agent with the Baltimore Ravens. During his NFL career, Morris recorded 3,809 yards on 974 attempts and scored 35 touchdowns during 75 games. He also caught 103 passes for 790 yards and one touchdown.
