? Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson recently trained with Steelers wide receivers Quez Watkins and Scotty Miller at UCLA. In addition, Wilson’s former teammate in Seattle wide receiver DK Metcalf was also at the workout session.

Wilson and Metcalf trained together at UCLA a few weeks ago. Steelers running back Najee Harris also recently attended workouts with Wilson in Southern California.

? Former Steelers guard and Hall of Famer Alan Faneca spoke at the OL Masterminds Summit. Faneca harped on the fundamentals of offensive line play.

? Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth received honorable mention in ESPN’s top 10 tight end rankings.

“Freiermuthā€™s proverbial third-season jump into the elite was sabotaged by a hamstring injury and poor quarterback play. He had 32 catches for 308 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games,” ESPN wrote.

One NFC executive said Freiermuth has the potential to be a top 10 tight end.

ā€œHeā€™s the guy who should be up there,ā€ the NFC exec said. ā€œHeā€™s really skilled and savvy, knows how to get open. Just doesnā€™t have the production.ā€

? Justin Fields got in work with Jordan Love at the Elite Week event in Texas.

? Fox Sports projects the Steelers to go 8-9 and finish last in the AFC North.
