🏈 This year the Pittsburgh Steelers made a total of $516,000 in donations, with the players contributing $258,000 and the team matching the donation to the Social Justice Fund Initiative. Since its inception in 2018, the team and its players have donated a total of $2,994,970 combined.

“I want to say thank you again to our Social Justice Committee members for continuing to lead these efforts, which benefit so many great causes,” Steelers President Art Rooney II said, via the team’s website. “Our players and the organization have come together to provide the community with over $500,000 to support our neighbors in need of food, education opportunities, and many other vital resources.”

A total of 37 players contributed to the Social Justice Fund Initiative this year, including a $100,000 donation from defensive tackle Cam Heyward and a $50,000 donation from quarterback Russell Wilson. In addition, linebacker Elandon Roberts, tight end Pat Freiermuth, defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi and punter Corliss Waitman also made contributions of $10,000 or more.

🏈 Steelers free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and the team donated $10,000 to the Light of Life Rescue Mission.

🏈 Pittsburgh-based artist Alex Nicholson finished his color pencil drawing of Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson. Nicholson spent roughly 50 hours on the drawing.

🏈 The Cincinnati Bengals lead the league in 30+ yard touchdowns with 14.

🏈 Steel City Star posted an unearthed audio of Jack Fleming and Myron Cope’s radio call when Steelers fans cheered Terry Bradshaw’s injury in 1973. It was recently uploaded to the Official Myron Cope channel by Dan Joseph/ Howard Cosell asks Bradshaw about it on Cope’s show a week later.

🏈 Friday marked the three-year anniversary of Ben Roethlisberger’s last game at Heinz Field, which was a 26-14 win over the Cleveland Browns.

🏈 During his weekly one-on-one interview with Bob Pompeani, Mike Tomlin gave his keys to winning Saturday’s game against the Bengals.
