? Alex Highsmith, DeShon Elliott and Minkah Fitzpatrick attended the Liverpool vs. Real Betis game at Acrisure Stadium on Friday.

? The Steelers will announce their 2024 Hall of Honor class before Saturday’s practice. Maurkice Pouncey and David DeCastro are eligible for the first time.

Other possible candidates include Casey Hampton, Joey Porter Sr., Ike Taylor, Jason Gildon, Levon Kirkland, David Little, Bryan Hinkle, Dwayne Woodruff, Robin Cole, Gary Anderson and Dick LeBeau. Legendary broadcasters Bill Hillgrove and Stan Savran could also be considered.

? Mike Tomlin gave a shoutout to Steelers legend Troy Polamalu for being at training camp.

“So awesome to have @tpolamalu and his sons here at camp with us. Looking forward to more Steelers Legends joining us. It’s all about family,” Tomlin wrote on X.

? Joe Fortenbaugh of ESPN doesn’t believe either Justin Fields or Russell Wilson can lead the Steelers to the playoffs.

? Former NFL running back LeSean McCoy doesn’t think Justin Fields will take Russell Wilson’s starting quarterback spot.

“No. Why because there are some clips of him throwing a deep ball? I guess a corner blitz and the safety is chasing the wide receiver. What are we talking about? I like Russell Wilson as the starter and I like for Justin Fields to be the backup and learn a little bit,” McCoy said on Speak.

“I’ve seen enough of Justin Fields for three years in Chicago. I seen him lose a lot of games. I’ve seen him have some good moments and then the rest is bad football. It’s nothing personal with him. If you want to win as a Steeler fan the best bet is to keep Russell Wilson as your starting quarterback.”
