🏈 Dan Patrick said the Pittsburgh Steelers shouldn’t lower themselves with Aaron Rodgers.

“You’re the Pittsburgh Steelers. Don’t lower yourself,” Patrick said.

🏈 DK Metcalf could probably play in the NBA if he went down the pathway of a basketball career. It’s unclear of when the video was recorded, but Metcalf has some serious basketball skills.

🏈 Kyle Brandt of NFL Network ripped the current state of the Steelers.

“This era for the Steelers is the we can’t find a quarterback and our coach can’t find the divisional round era. Cam (Heyward) says he’s not going on a darkness retreat. He’s already on one,” Brandt said. “Cam has not won a playoff game since 2017. He and his whole team have been on a darkness retreat for eight years.”

🏈 Stephen A. Smith ripped Cam Heyward’s comments on Aaron Rodgers needing to make a decision already.

“I did not like what he said. I thought his response was incomplete. Are you saying that because you’re a Pittsburgh Steeler? Or are you saying that ’cause Aaron Rodgers isn’t what he used to be? The standard’ has not won a playoff game. Pittsburgh Steelers fans everywhere have not won a playoff game,” Smith said on ESPN’s First Take. “When you are in that position, you don’t get to be on a podcast, simply saying ‘You either want to or you don’t’. Wait a minute now. I might need you to recruit a little bit better than that.”

🏈 Justin Fields’ jersey at Steelers Pro Shop is now $25.

🏈 Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe ran a blazing-fast 4.37 in the 40-yard dash at his pro day.

🏈 Alabama freshman safety Ivan Taylor, his dad former Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor and Mike Tomlin were together at the Alabama Pro Day.

🏈CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones said many in the league think Aaron Rodgers will choose Pittsburgh over the New York Giants.

“I can tell you folks around the league believe that if Aaron Rodgers chooses to continue playing that he would choose the Pittsburgh Steelers over the New York Giants,” Jones said. “That’s from looking at how the team is constructed and built, the path to the playoffs. That is not coming from Aaron Rodgers’ camp whatsoever.”

🏈 Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated believes Aaron Rodgers wants to take one more swing at playing football.

“I don’t think he wants to go out the way he went out last year. I had a long conversation with him over the summer, where he said he didn’t want to go out the way he went out in 2023, which was with the Achilles injury,” Breer said on the Rich Eisen Show. “If he didn’t want to go out hurt, I would assume he wouldn’t want to go out playing the way the Jets did at the end of the year last year. And that was just a dumpster fire of a season from start to finish for everyone involved. So I do think he has it, you know, in his head that he wants to take one more swing in it.”

🏈 Former NFL scout John Middlekauff believes Aaron Rodgers won’t save the Giants or Steelers.

“It does feel like we’re still holding on to Rogers at 41 years old. He doesn’t want to get hit and playing in the cold like it ain’t gonna work,” Middlekauff said. “This discussion about like could he save the Steelers or what could he do with the Giants, like nothing. He’s not gonna do anything.”
