? The Pro Football Hall of Fame’s official account on X honored the Steelers legendary 1974 draft class, but made the mistake of saying that it was arguably the greatest performance of all-time at the NFL Draft. The Steelers drafted four future Hall of Famers in 1974 – Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, John Stallworth and Mike Webster. They also signed Donnie Shell as an undrafted free agent, who went on to have a Hall of Fame career as well. It’s the best draft class not only in NFL history, but all of professional sports.

? The Steelers open at 66/1 for the 2025 Super Bowl. Only nine teams have worse odds. Super Bowl LIX will be on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

? Former Steelers wide receiver and current Detroit Lions wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El interviewed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator position. Randle El began his coaching career as an offensive assistant on Bruce Arians’ staff with the Buccaneers in 2019 and moved to the Lions when Dan Campbell became their head coach in 2021. Randle El was drafted by the Steelers in the second round out of Indiana in 2002. He’s a member of the Steelers’ 2005 Super Bowl-winning team. Randle El had a game-clinching 43-yard reverse touchdown pass to Hines Ward in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XL. He was the third non-quarterback and the first and only wide receiver in NFL history to throw a touchdown pass in the Super Bowl.

? Happy Birthday to former Steelers defensive end Kimo von Oelhoffen, born on January 30, 1971 in Kaunakakai, Hawaii. After a strong 1999 season in Cincinnati, where he recorded 24 tackles and four sacks, von Oelhoffen signed with the Steelers as an unrestricted free agent on a four-year $11 million contract. Pittsburgh initially inserted him as the starting nose tackle and converted him to defensive end. Von Oelhoffen would start all but one game from the 2000-2005 seasons. He won a Super Bowl ring in 2005 in his final season as a Steeler.
