“With a salary of just over $1 million, Russell Wilson arguably is more valuable to the Steelers if he stays on the roster. However, the salary also makes him easy to cut, and if Justin Fields wins the starting QB job, Pittsburgh might want to cut Wilson to avoid distractions,” Randall wrote.

? Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III said the instability on offense last season created a lot of issues.
“The instability did make things a little difficult. Just because when you go through three quarterbacks, no matter what team you are, it’s going to be some ups and downs. It was just difficult because the offense, we didn’t really catch our rhythm until probably the last four games of the season,” Austin said during an appearance on 92.9 ESPN in Memphis.
