Steelers Defensive Lineman Expects to Return vs. Ravens

PITTSBURGH — Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi expects to play on Saturday when the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Baltimore Ravens with the AFC North on the line in their Week 16 matchup, he told Steelers Now on Thursday.

Ogunjobi did not dress in last week’s visit to the Philadelphia to face the Eagles. He suffered a groin injury the week before against the Cleveland Browns, and while he briefly returned to action, he was unable to finish that game.

Ogunjobi appeared at one practice before being ruled out of the Eagles game, and was listed as a limited participant in both the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions this week.

Despite dealing with a myriad of injuries since joining the Steelers in the 2016 offseason, Ogunjobi has rarely missed a game. Sunday’s trip to Philly was only the second game he missed due to injury in his Steelers career. Ironically, the other game was also a trip to Philadelphia in 2022.

On the season, Ogunjobi has 1.5 sacks, 37 tackles and is tied for fourth on the team with five tackles for loss. He also has seven quarterback hits.
