Steelers Dermontti Dawson, Cameron Heyward went Head-to-Head on Celebrity Family Feud

The careers of current Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward and Hall of Fame center Dermontti Dawson were separated on the gridiron by 11 years.

But they went head to head on Sunday in another venue.

Dawson and Heyward participated in Celebrity Family Feud on Sunday, with Heyward playing with a team of current NFLers that included Denver Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb, New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas.

Dawson’s NFL legends squad included fellow Hall of Famers Tim Brown, Jackie Slater, Brian Urlacher and Aeneas Williams.

The young players took a big early lead, but as is typical Family Feud protocol, the points were tripled in the deciding game. The current players had a chance to steal on the question “name something that’s best when it’s really juicy,” but Heyward — the captain of the current squad — guessed “juice,” incorrectly.

“Even though we lost on Family Feud, I’m glad my guy Dermontti Dawson won,” Heyward wrote on Twitter. “Only a Steeler can beat a Steeler. Thank you for a great time, Steve Harvey.”

Dawson and Williams played fast money for the legends team, and combined to eclipse the 200-point total to win. The victory netted $25,000 for the legends’ charity, the Team Gleason Foundation, run by former New Orleans Saints safety Steve Gleason, who has been diagnosed with ALS.
