The Pittsburgh Steelers are now staring at a three-game losing streak and more questions than answers following a 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday. They are now sitting at 7-7 and on the outside of the playoff race looking in. The final score to this one feels a little bit deceiving because this one was a lot more lopsided than the scoreboard would indicate. Here were some winners and loser’s worth noting from today’s performance.
Dude- T.J. Watt
With a backup right tackle in the lineup, this matchup looked pretty appealing on paper. Earlier in the game, Watt made his presence felt. Shane Stechein loves going to empty but that also requires five-man protection rules. Watt got an awesome jump off the snap, turned the corner and brought down Gardner Minshew. Later in the first half, he blew up an RPO and was credited with another sack. He was quieter as the game went on but flashed early.
Dud- Mitch Trubisky
Trubisky was better in the first half this week and to his credit, he did make a couple of big throws to convert difficult third and fourth downs. However …
