Steelers Draft Bryan Bresee

The Steelers go to the defensive line and Hendon Hooker gets the call to head down to Mobile.

🏈: The NFLPA Bowl revealed their rosters on Saturday as they set the stage for their week of practices leading up to the game. Some familiar names that might seem familiar to Steelers fans are Pitt defensive end Deslin Alexandre, Penn State wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley, and Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford. The teams will be coached by Jeff Fisher and Eddie George. In the coming days, news of some interviews should come out.

🏈: Over the weekend, the Senior Bowl revealed their.wide receiver rosters for the Senior Bowl. Those teams will be broken down as such:

🏈: Speaking of the Senior Bowl, they are always looking to add to the roster of the game. For the Steelers draft purposes, seeing more players is never a bad thing, either. While they won’t see Siaki Ika at the event, Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker and Georgia tackle Warren McClendon will both be down in Mobile. Hooker is not expected to participate as he recovers from a Torn ACL.

🏈: In Bucky Brooks’ first mock draft of the 2023 NFL Draft season, the Steelers draft a familiar cornerback out of Penn State. Yes, Joey Porter Jr. ends up landing with the Steelers in this mock draft at 17. Brooks gave his explanation for the pick in the article:

“Adding a long, rangy cover corner with A+ tackling skills helps the Steelers match up with the explosive offenses in the AFC. And yes, it’s a family affair with Joey Porter‘s son hitting Pittsburgh,” Brooks wrote.

This has become the mock draft pick for the Steelers thus far in the period. It has all the natural tendencies of the Steelers to pick Porter, but the question will be if he gets to 17.

🏈: Meanwhile, Pete Fiutak of Yahoo Sports gave the Steelers a bit of a different pick. In his first mock draft, the Steelers land Clemson defensive tackle Bryan Bresee. Bresee has become the sleeper pick as of late for the Steelers, but it makes sense given his pedigree. The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Clemson Tiger racked up 9 sacks and 15 tackles for loss in his Tigers career, but his athleticism stands out immediately.
