The Steelers draft brass is showing plenty of interest in a tackle at the Senior Bowl, and Kelee Ringo could have a fascinating position change.

Senior Bowl all week and it appears they are focusing closely on offensive linemen. None of that is all too surprising, but Jeremy Fowler gave specific insight on just who the Steelers could be watching. He sees Pittsburgh focusing in on Tennessee OT Darnell Wright, but they could view him as a guard.

“The Pittsburgh Steelers appeared to be keeping close tabs on offensive linemen at the Senior Bowl,” Fowler said. “One name to watch is Tennessee offensive tackle Darnell Wright, who Pittsburgh could see as more of a guard.”

Wright is a heavy-footed tackle that played mostly right tackle, but the guard could make sense for his in-the-phone-booth style in the run game. As of now, his stock has him in the second round.

?: Daniel Jeremiah likes Kelee RIngo, but the https://twitter.com/NFLRookieWatxh/status/1621313170559336448?s=20&t=U2IfEm99YVMwYm84q5uXZg”>Georgia

cornerback could have a position switch upcoming in the NFL. With his sticky man coverage skills, it would a surprising move, but Jeremiah said that a move for Ringo to safety ‘could not be ruled out’ at this juncture. Again, that would be surprising given the skills Ringo possesses, but if Jeremiah is hearing it, it’s likely not just drivel.

?: In a new mock draft done by Arif Hasan of Pro Football Network, he has the Steelers trading down from 17th overall to 21st overall and drafting O’Cyrus Torrence out of Florida. With it, the Steelers would receive another Top-100 pick from the Chargers. The terms of the deal would include the Steelers sending Pick 17 and 119 to Los Angeles for picks 21, 85, and 156.

“The Steelers can afford to attack their most-needed positions,” Hasan wrote. “Their offensive line is certainly not what it used to be, and this is a team willing to invest in interior linemen. O’Cyrus Torrence is one of the most powerful offensive linemen in the draft and can be dominant up front.”

Torrence is a player that lacks elite athleticism, but the Steelers scheme often just asks the offensive line to go out and make heads roll in the running game. It is hard to argue that is not Torrence’s style, so that could be a fit that makes plenty of sense.

?: Standing out at the Senior Bowl, Stanford CB Kyu Blu Kelly is aiming to follow in his father’s footsteps. He even played for Mike Tomlin while Tomlin was in Tampa Bay. Could that end up with Kelly being a Steeler in April? It’s possible, especially after a strong week in Mobile, so it can not be ruled out as a decent possibility.

?: Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus believes that the Steelers’ https://twitter.com/PFF/status/1621644707297214464?s=20&t=EO5xwac1d9QNScpVQt2RoA”>top

need is not in the trenches, but in the secondary. In the top needs for all AFC North teams, Monson believes the Steelers need a cornerback more than anything else. With Cam Sutton as a free agent, you can make that case, but the trenches have to be a key focus, too.
