Pittsburgh Steelers draft Bo Nix

The Steelers’ quarterback situation looms, but a target is going to the Senior Bowl while a top center is coming to the 2024 NFL Draft.

Oregon quarterback Bo Nix is on his way to Mobile, Alabama, and will be at the Senior Bowl. Along with other intriguing players such as Sam Hartman, Michael Pratt, and Spencer Rattler, Nix will show what he’s made of in front of NFL scouts. This means a lot for the Steelers’ draft plans, as they have drafted heavily from the event in recent years. Najee Harris and Kenny Pickett were both there, and so was Keeanu Benton.

So, this team has a track record of caring about the Senior Bowl. If they draft a quarterback, it’s not too crazy to think that guy could come from the Senior Bowl crop.

Washington State quarterback Cam Ward will enter the 2024 NFL Draft. After an extended process in the transfer portal, Ward did not immediately sign with an agent, meaning that going back to school is still a possibility. But for now, the prolific passer is heading to the NFL Draft waters. Not only that, but he is heading to the Shrine Bowl. So, the Steelers will have to see Ward in Texas, but he is an intriguing option, too.

Georgia center Sedrick Van Pran has announced that he will declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. The Steelers draft plans seem destined to have a center in them at some point, and while that might not precisely be Van Pran, he is one of the names there. Pittsburgh could pair him back up with Broderick Jones, starting to create an all-Georgia offense as they work to fix the last pieces of the offensive line that are not working. Van Pran is a former wrestler and has excellent core strength to make moves happen. He is not the flashiest mauler, but he does his job well and will be a day-two pick.
