Derrick’s Dudes & Duds: Johnson Breaks Through, Peterson Struggles
The Pittsburgh Steelers needed yet another fourth quarter comeback but eventually did take care of business by defeating the Tennessee Titans. There’s nothing more stressful than watching this team play. It’s never pretty when they win but they are entering a mini-bye week with a 5-3 record, awaiting a struggling Green Bay Packers team in week 10. Lets’ go over some dudes and duds from their primetime victory.
Dude(s): Najee Harris & Jaylen Warren
The Steelers running back tandem deserved the game balls tonight. Coming into the matchup, it was obvious that they needed to find a rhythm early and that’s exactly what happened, with Najee Harris punching in an opening drive touchdown. The duo combined for 157 yards on 27 carries as the team was successful on 45% of their rushing plays, a number that was negatively skewed a bit by the final drive. Between the splash plays and overall consistency, it was an excellent game from both players.
