The Steelers will see Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray as long as his rehab process goes well during their matchup against the Cardinals on December 3rd. On Wednesday, Murray’s window to return from the PUP list was opened, meaning he returned to the practice. Up to this point, the team has started former Steelers quarterback Josh Dobbs, who has led the group to a 1-5 start after they traded for him from the Cleveland Browns.

Murray suffered a torn ACL ten months ago and is close to returning. The Cardinals are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year, and so far, that has been true. Murray’s return is something new head coach Jonathan Gannon hopes can springboard the team forward.

In addition to Murray’s return, safety Budda Baker is also opening his window to return. That’s two Pro Bowlers who had been out for Arizona and should be back for their game against the Steelers. Pittsburgh does not play them for an extended time, but while that game looks soft now, it could be much more difficult with Murray and Baker back on the field. Arizona has played many of the teams tough this year despite being undermanned across the board, and they stole a victory against the Dallas Cowboys in impressive fashion.

Now, Murray’s return should help catapult the offense forward. Even if he is not a perfect quarterback, Murray’s dynamic ability with his legs and rocket arm make him a potential game-changing quarterback every Sunday play that he is on the field.
