The NFL remembered late Pittsburgh Steelers running back Franco Harris during the league’s 2022 NFL Honors ceremony on Friday.

Harris, who died at the age of 72 on December 20, was honored before the start of the evening’s in memoriam segment to pay respects to the football greats no longer with us.

He was honored by his teammate, Terry Bradshaw, who was the presenter for the segment.

“It’s impossible to forget Franco Harris,” Bradshaw said. “In the middle of the roughest, toughest game on earth, he was an island of humility and grace. He never once raised his voice, never pointed a finger and on that day 50 years ago in Pittsburgh, he came out of nowhere to change the game forever. When you think about it, immaculate is the perfect word to be linked forever to Franco Harris. I love you, pal. I miss you and like every football fan in this world, I’ll never forget you.”

Late Steelers quarterbacks Len Dawson and Dewayne Haskins, wide receiver Charles Johnson, minority owner John Rooney and former Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer John Clayton were also part of the video package that honored the NFL greats that are no longer with us.
