A public funeral viewing for Pittsburgh Steelers legend Franco Harris will be held at Acrisure Stadium on Tuesday, Dec. 27 for the Hall of Fame Steelers running back that died this week just days before the 50th anniversary of his Immaculate Reception.

The viewing will be held at the PNC Champions Club at Gate A from 1-5 p.m. for fans to pay tribute to Harris, whose uniform No. 32 will be retired by the team at halftime of its Saturday game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Instead of flowers, Harris’ family are asking for memorial donations to The Pittsburgh Promise, a charity that Harris chaired that provides college scholarships to Pittsburgh students, or the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor Foundation.

On Tuesday, stadium parking lots will open at 11 a.m.

Fans gathered in that same spot on Friday for the 50th anniversary at 3:41 p.m., with the radio call of Harris’ catch that beat the Oakland Raiders broadcast to commemorate the anniversary of the exact moment that forever changed the team’s fortunes.
