ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Steelers are down a pair of guards in their game at Buffalo on Sunday night, as rookie guard Kevin Dotson has left the game with a shoulder injury and will not return.

Dotson had entered the game as a replacement for starting left guard Matt Feiler, who was lost for the game to a shoulder injury in the first quarter.

Dotson left the game in the third quarter. He was able to walk off the field under his own power, but went to the locker room for evaluation and was ruled out by the team.

He was replaced in the starting lineup by J.C. Hassenauer, who saw his first action at guard for the Steelers. Hassenauer had started the team’s previous two games in place of center Maurkice Pouncey, who was on the COVID-19 reserve list.

Fellow backup guard Derwin Gray is not dressed for the game. The only other available offensive lineman the Steelers have is backup tackle Jerald Hawkins.
