Steelers Get $150M in Acrisure Stadium Rights Deal, 11th-Most in NFL
The naming rights deal that will re-brand the Pittsburgh Steelers home as Acrisure Stadium for the 2022 season, is worth more than $150 million over 15 years, according to multiple media reports.
The $10 million per year range puts the Steelers in the upper part of the pack as far as NFL naming rights deals, especially considering the 21-year-old building and the fact that the Steelers are only tied to play in the stadium through 2030. It also greatly eclipses the annual return of the 20-year, $57-million deal the team struck with Heinz in 2021.
Of the 10 teams that earn more in annual naming rights, only the heavily renovated Hard Rock Stadium is older than Pittsburgh’s venue. Pittsburgh is also a smaller city than each of the 10 that earn more money. The Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos got $5 million per year — half the Steelers’ haul — in selling recent naming rights to change over their existing stadium.
