Steelers Get DL Isaiah Buggs Back from COVID-19 List
The Pittsburgh Steelers got defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs back from the COVID-19 reserve list, the team announced on Saturday.
Buggs had been on the list since Dec. 23 and missed the team’s Week 16 game at the Kansas City Chiefs.
Buggs has played in 10 games and made six starts this season, making 17 tackles, two tackles for loss, one quarterback hit and one pass defended.
Buggs has seen a reduced role since the team signed Montravius Adams Sr. from the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad, but with Chris Wormley likely out on Monday against the Cleveland Browns, Adams, Buggs, Isaiahh Loudermilk and Henry Mondeaux will be expected to step up alongside Cam Heyward.
In addition, practice squad safety Karl Joseph was reinstated from the list. The Steelers still have nine players currently impacted by the virus, including tackle Zach Banner, inside linebackers Devin Bush and Joe Schobert, cornerback Arthur Maulet, running back Anthony McFarland Jr., defensive lineman Wormley and Daniel Archibong and wide receivers Anthony Miller, Steven Sims and Tyler Vaughns.
