Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens is expected to dress for Sunday’s Week 14 game against the Cleveland Browns, despite being listed as questionable with a hamstring injury.

Pickens suffered the injury late in the week and was limited in practice on Friday before being listed as questionable.

According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, Pickens will have an on-field workout before the game to give a final approval on Pickens being able to play. It’s unclear if Pickens would play if he’s less than 100% healthy.

Should Pickens not play or be unable to play his full workload, expect Van Jefferson and Mike Williams to pick up additional reps and targets.

Pickens has been a key component of the Steelers’ passing offense this year. His 55 catches and 850 yards are more than double the team’s second-most productive wide receiver (Calvin Austin III, 22 catches, 383 yards).

The third-year receiver out of Georgia has been incredibly durable during his NFL career despite a somewhat slender frame and a major knee injury in college that impacted his draft status. Pickens has never missed a game, playing in all 46 regular season contests to start his career.

Pickens was figuring to have a spotlight on him in this game, regardless of his injury status, thanks to his comments both after the Browns beat the Steelers in Cleveland two weeks ago, and again on Friday.

The Steelers and Browns are scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The Steelers will have to declare Pickens active or inactive 90 minutes before kickoff.
