The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a mixed-up broadcast crew for their Week 7 game against the Los Angeles Rams on FOX Sports.
With FOX covering both the NFL regular season and the MLB postseason, the broadcast crews have been switched up.
Joe Davis, who normally works the No. 2 national broadcast with Daryl “Moose” Johnston and Pam Oliver, has been pulled away for baseball duty. He’ll be replaced on the Steelers-Rams broadcast by Adam Amin, who usually calls regional games with Mark Schlereth. The crews will be switched up for the second straight week thanks to MLB coverage.
Davis, Johnston and Oliver called the Steelers’ season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the only other time this season the Steelers have been on FOX.
The Steelers and Rams will kick off at 4:05 p.m. from SoFi Stadium on Sunday. ALCS Game 6, if necessary, will have its first pitch between the Texas Rangers and Houston Texans at 8:03 p.m. That game will be broadcast on FS1.
Amin has covered football and baseball for FOX since 2020 and is also the television play-by-play announcer for the Chicago Bulls in his hometown.
Johnston, a former Syracuse and Dallas Cowboys fullback, has also worked extensively in spring football. He was the general manager of the San Antonio Commanders in the AAF in 2018 and the director of player personnel for the Dallas Renegades in the XFL in 2019. When that league returned in 2021, he was the vice president of football operations, and this spring, he left to become the president of football for the USFL. The USFL and XFL are set to merge in 2024.
Oliver has been with FOX since 1995 as one of the network’s top sideline reporters. She is in her 29th season of covering the NFL.
The Steelers and Rams should have nearly nationwide coverage through FOX affiliates. The only other game in that window features the Arizona Cardinals at the Seattle Seahawks. The full television broadcast map will be released on Tuesday.
