Steelers GM Kevin Colbert Plans to Stay in Pittsburgh

Steelers vice president and general manager Kevin Colbert has no plans of leaving Pittsburgh any time soon.

Speaking with members of the media on Thursday, Colbert said that he has no desire to leave the Steelers and will stay with the organization for as long as they will have him.

Colbert and the Steelers agreed to a one-year contract extension last week, as he prepares to enter his 21st year with the franchise and his tenth as general manager.

Colbert also made it clear that he has no plans or desire to work for any organization other than the Steelers, signalling that he would most likely retire once his tenure in Pittsburgh is complete.

While the Steelers have missed the playoffs the last two seasons, Colbert has been one of the leagues most successful executives during his time with the team. Under Colbert, the Steelers have won two Super Bowls, three AFC championships and nine division titles
