INDIANAPOLIS — The Pittsburg Steelers have a meeting with Georgia nose tackle Jordan Davis scheduled for Friday at the 2022 NFL Combine, he said on Friday morning.

It seems that Stephon Tuitt’s cloud of mystery seems to fade by the day. Still, while the Steelers are looking more and more hopeful to bring him back, it is no certainty he returns.

Their recent interest in defensive linemen speaks to that truth. However, nose tackle is another position they have to look at. With Tyson Aluallu coming off a serious injury and Montravius Adams a free agent, the Steelers will look there hard.

Well, there is no better true nose tackle in the 2022 NFL Draft than Davis. A space-eater that weighs 350 pounds, Davis earned his stripes with the Bulldogs being a selfless player that allowed the other players to fly around in free space. Davis revealed on Friday that he has a formal meeting scheduled with the Steelers later in the day when speaking to the media.

Davis could be the nose tackle the Steelers have been searching for since Javon Hargrave. However, he lacks pass-rushing moves, which could lead to him being only a two-down player in the NFL. Davis has athletic traits for days, but if he can not refine his pass rush plan and prowess, teams may not value him in the first round.
