Study: Steelers’ Heinz Field NFL’s 6th-Most Instagrammable Stadium

Steelers Acrisure Stadium Heinz Field

Heinz Field is the NFL’s sixth-most Instagram-able stadium, according to a study by Betway.

Betway analyzed the number of times the Instagram hashtag for each NFL stadium was shared, and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ home stadium was tagged 170,932 times.

It’s no surprise that MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey was the most-shared stadium, as it does double duty as the home of the New York Giants and New York Jets and is also the largest venue in the league with 82,500 seats. MetLife has been tagged on Instagram 286,026 times.

Chicago’s Soldier Field, Levi’s Stadium near San Francisco, Gillette Stadium in New England and Green Bay’s legendary Lambeau Field round out the top five. Soldier and Lambeau are the NFL’s two oldest stadiums, while Levi’s is one of the newer ones, along with No. 7 AT&T Stadium, No. 8 Mercedes-Benz Stadium and No. 10 SoFi Stadium. Tge Miami Dolphins’ Hard Rock Stadium, at No. 9 was built in 1987.

The rest of the AFC North venues trail well behind the Steelers’, as Paul Brown Stadium is 24th, First Energy Stadium 25th and M&T Bank Stadium 29th. All of the division’s stadiums opened between 1998 and 2001, so perhaps Heinz Field has stayed the most photogenic after 20 years. The Steelers sharing the stadium with the Pitt Panthers also means it’s a lot busier than some of its counterparts.

Coming up last in the study is the clumsily named Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. It has been tagged just 2,063 times.
