Steelers Host Pair of Promising Pre-Draft Visitors on Monday

The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted a pair of pre-draft visitors to UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Monday, as the team reached the midway point of its pre-draft visit process. On Monday, Florida State defensive tackle Joshua Farmer and Virginia Tech running back Bhayshul Tuten came to Pittsburgh.
Farmer and Tuten make 15 pre-draft visitors to Pittsburgh so far in the 2025 NFL Draft cycle. Another five have been reported, either externally or by the player themselves, so be happening.
The Steelers also met with both Farmer and Tuten at the 2025 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama in January.

Farmer, who announced his visit after the Florida State pro day last month, is a 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive tackle with 35-inch arms. He ran a 5.11-second 40-yard dash and posted a 29-inch vertical and a 9-foot-4 broad jump at the 2025 NFL Combine for an overall 7.85 Relative Athletic Score out of 10.
Farmer had 32 tackles, eight tackles for a loss and four sacks in his redshirt junior season with the Seminoles in 2024.
Farmer is currently the No. 86 overall player on the NFL Mock Draft Database consensus big board. The Steelers hold pick No. 83 in the third round of this month’s draft.
Tuten burst onto the NFL Draft scene with a huge senior season at Virginia Tech in 2024, rushing for 1,159 yards and scoring 17 total touchdowns.
He also lit up the charts at the 2025 NFL Combine, posting position-best results in the 40 (4.32 seconds) and vertical jump (40.5 inches) at the NFL Combine. He also finished second in the broad jump (10-foot-10). Tuten’s 1.49 10-yard split tied with Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden for the fastest player at the Combine.
Tuten’s visit was previously reported by The Draft Network. He would fit in nicely alongside Steelers running backs Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell, who all are speedy backs that can get to the edge and maximize the explosiveness of the offense. Tuten is the No. 120 player on the consensus big board, just ahead of the Steelers’ fourth-round pick at No. 122.
