PITTSBURGH —ย The Pittsburgh Steelers still have a sour taste in their mouths after falling to the Cleveland Browns 24-19 just 13 days ago, but they have a chance to get their revenge in a few days time, and it’s safe to say they’re looking forward to it.

On Wednesday, Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward acknowledged there isn’t much they need to change in regards to their preparation, given the two teams’ familiarity with one another, but notes they’ll be ready.

“We are pretty familiar with them, them being a divisional opponent, them being so close,” Heyward said. “I think we know what to expect.”

The Steelers will be in the comforts of Acrisure Stadium this time around, but the task of slowing down the Browns hot offense will not be easy.

Cleveland is coming off a 552-yard performance in Week 13 and quarterback Jameis Winston is in his true gunslinger form.

“They put up over 500 yards just a couple days ago, so they’re definitely humming at the right levels. They have playmakers at every level,” Heyward said. “So we have to be on our P’s and Q’s. They’ve just grown a lot with having Jameis at the helm and he’s slicing and dicing right now.”

The Steelers witnessed just that less than two weeks ago, as Winston was able to move the ball in the winter snow storm that took place in Cleveland.

Steelers linebacker Elandon Roberts is looking forward to not letting that happen again.

“We just happy that we getting that opportunity,” Roberts said. “Hats off to them. They played a good game our first outing out there.”

While Winston does have the Browns offense humming, he has still struggled with turning the football over. The former No. 1 overall pick threw three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, on Monday night, and has seven total on the year.

That’s why Roberts is confident the Steelers defense will get the same opportunity to take away the football as long as everyone does their job.

“I think we just play within our defense,” Roberts said. “Take it one play at a time.”

Winston isn’t the only player that the Steelers must account for come Sunday. Browns defensive end Myles Garrett also had his way with the Steelers in Week 12, registering five tackles, three sacks and one forced fumble.

Steelers rookie guard Mason McCormick knows they can’t let him have a similar impact if they hope to escape with a win this time around.

“Obviously, he’s a really good player,” McCormick said. “We just gotta go out there and we gotta execute. There’s some things that we wanna get cleaned up, and we’re working and growing and just looking to continually get better.”
