Steelers Injury Update: Isaiahh Loudermilk Out with Rib Injury

Steelers DE Isaiahh Loudermilk

UNITY TWP., Pa. — Defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk left Pittsburgh Steelers trining camp practice on Wednesday with a rib injury and did not return.

Loudermilk was injured early in the practice session, which was without pads or contract. Head coach Mike Tomlin said after practice that Loudermilk was being evaluated.

Running back Master Teague III, who was carted off the field on Tuesday, was seen in a walking boot on his left ankle. He appears to be out longer term.

Slot cornerback Art Maulet missed practice after leaving on Tuesday with a hamstring injury. Cam Sutton moved in from outside corner to replace Maulet with the starters and Levi Wallace came in to fill in for Sutton.

Left guard Kevin Dotson took his regular slate of reps after missing time on Tuesday with what appeared to be an aggravation of his right ankle injury. Him and Kendrick Green continue to rotate with the first team at left guard.

Two players returned from injuries to be partial participants on Wednesday: fullback Derek Watt (shoulder) and inside linebacker Marcus Allen (hamstring). Both players only took part in individual drills.

Wide receiver Calvin Austin III did not have the boot on his sprained left foot for the second straight day, but was limited to working and stretching off to the side.

Nose tackle Montravius Adams (ankle) and outside linebacker Alex Highsmith (ribs) continue to miss time. Genard Avery started in place of Highsmith at outside linebacker, with Derrek Tuszka also working in.

Without Loudermilk and Adams, Chris Wormley, Henry Mondeaux and rookie DeMarvin Leal made up the second-team defense.
