The Steelers have ruled safety Terrell Edmunds and kicker Chris Boswell out of Sunday’s game against Cleveland Browns, the team announced on Friday.

Boswell will miss his second consecutive game with a groin injury. He returns to practice on Wednesday, but missed practice on Thursday and Friday before being ruled out.

He will once again be replaced by practice squad kicker Matthew Wright, who made his lone field goal and was 6 of 6 on extra points in two games replacing Boswell this season.

Edmunds did not practice at all this week with a shoulder injury and will miss his first game of the season. Sean Davis is the Steelers’ top backup at both safety spots.

Wide receiver Diontae Johnson did not practice on Friday and was added to the team’s injury report with an illness. Johnson is still expected to be able to play on Sunday.

Center Maurkice Pouncey, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and linebacker T.J. Watt were held out of practice for the third straight day and reportedly will not play on Sunday.

Outside linebacker Ola Adeniyi (shoulder), inside linebacker Marcus Allen (stinger), defensive lineman Tyson Alualu (ankle) and defensive end Stephon Tuitt (back) were all full participants in practice and are good to go for Sunday’s game.

Adeniyi and Allen are expected to return to the lineup after missing last Sunday’s game against Indianapolis. Alualu and Tuitt missed practice time earlier in the week.
