Starting right guard David DeCastro was injured during the Steelers’ intra-squad scrimmage at Heinz Field on Friday night.

Speaking with the media via Zoom after practice, head coach Mike Tomlin acknowledged DeCastro’s injury, but did not describe the nature of the ailment and said DeCastro is still being evaluated.

DeCastro had already missed almost the entire first week of padded practices with an another undisclosed injury. It’s not clear if the two injuries are related.

DeCastro’s loss was offset on the line by the return of rookie guard Kevin Dotson, who had been out 10 days with a knee injury. Dotson drew praise from Tomlin for getting right back into the swing of things after a long layoff.
