Steelers Injury Updates: Four Players Return to Practice; Marcus Allen Out
PITTSBURGH — Running backs Benny Snell Jr. and Kalen Ballage returned to team-period action as the Steelers round into near-full-health before their third preseason game agains the Detroit Lions this Saturday.
Snell (undisclosed) has yet to play in a preseason game while Ballage (lower body) was injured in the preseason opener against Dallas. Wide receivers Ray-Ray McCloud and James Washington both continued their return to work from right knee injuries with team-period action, the first such action for McCloud.
Rookie center Kendrick Green also returned to practice after being absent from the last two sessions for undisclosed reasons.
Linebacker Marcus Allen is the lone new addition to the injury report. He was held out of all but stretching with an undisclosed injury.
Slot corner Antoine Brooks Jr. worked individually on Tuesday as he returns from a left hamstring injury, including some full-speed sprinting, and does not appear to be far from a return to practice.
Defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt was in street clothes on Tuesday, after beginning to work in practice for the first time this camp over the weekend.
Outside linebacker T.J. Watt continues to be limited to individual work.
