PITTSBURGH — Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool was limited in practice on Wednesday as he worked his way back from a toe injury, while four other starters missed practice with various ailments.

Outside linebacker T.J. Watt, cornerback Joe Haden and guards Kevin Dotson and Trai Turner all did not practice.

Claypool injured his toe against the Chicago Bears in Week 9 and did not play against the Detroit Lions in Week 10. Wednesday was the first day he returned to practice, even in a limited capacity.

Dotson, Haden, Watt and Turner were all hurt against the Lions. Dotson and Turner have ankle injuries. Haden has a left mid-foot sprain. Watt has left knee and hip injuries.

J.C. Hassenauer and B.J. Finney should be expected to fill in at guard, James Pierre at cornerback and Taco Charlton at outside linebacker.

Minkah Fitzpatrick and Ben Roethlisberger remain on the COVID-19 Reserve List and are isolated from the team.
