The Pittsburgh Steelers received some encouraging news on the injury front, as slot corner Mike Hilton (shoulder) and defensive end Isaiah Buggs (ankle) were both full practice participants for the second-straight day.

Hilton has missed the last four games, originally suffering the injury Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.

Buggs missed last week’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals after injuring the ankle in Dallas two weeks ago.

Running back Anthony McFarland Jr. has also practiced each day this week after missing a pair of sessions last week with an illness. He was inactive for the Cincinnati game.

Running backs Jaylen Samuels (quadricep) and Trey Edmunds (hamstring) and linebacker Jayrone Elliot (illness) all missed practice for the second-consecutive day. The team is likely taking extra precautions as they did with McFarland last week considering the recent COVID-19 scare and positive test of tight end Vance McDonald.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, center Maurkice Pouncey, guard David DeCastro, left tackle Alejandro Villanueva and defensive end Stephon Tuitt all returned to the practice field Thursday following their weekly veteran off days on Wednesday.
