Steelers Injury Updates: Robert Spillane Could Be Limited, Rest of Team Healthy for Week 2

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers did not suffer any major injuries during their season opening win at Buffalo on Sunday, head coach Mike Tomlin said during his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

There were no notable absences or players that missed time and Tomlin said that status had held up after an off day on Monday.

“Thankfully, it doesn’t appear that we have a lot of injury damage coming out of the game,” he said.

The one injured Steelers player that missed the game was inside linebacker Robert Spillane, who was a late scratch after suffering a shin injury during pregame warmups.

Tomlin said that Spillane is continuing to be evaluated and my be limited early in the week, but the present expectation is that he’ll be able to play on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, barring any setbacks.

Other than that, Tomlin said there may be a veteran or two that he limits during practice in the early portion of the week, but there are no players that are expected to miss Sunday’s game.
