Steelers Injury Updates: Stephon Tuitt Ramping Up; Kendrick Green Absent Again

PITTSBURGH – Rookie center Kendrick Green missed his second consecutive Steelers practice on Sunday. Green was absent and excused from Saturday’s practice by Mike Tomlin. Tomlin gave no further update on the status of Green after he missed Sunday’s practice, but it would be logical to assume that Green was yet again an excuse absence.

Both Kalen Ballage (left leg) and Benny Snell Jr. (undisclosed) are coming back slowly. They were full participants in individual drills. Ballage was a full participant in the team drills, marking the first time he has done that since his return. Snell did not participate in team drills.

Elsewhere, defensive end Stephon Tuitt finally began his ascent to full capacity participation. He was doing some individual work and began to work in the team walk-through period, signaling that he is taking the next step in his return to the field. T.J. Watt continued to be limited as contract negotiations roll on.

James Washington (right knee) and Ray-Ray McCloud (right knee) both were limited on Sunday. They worked in individual drills but failed to register a snap in team drills.

Antoine Brooks Jr. (left hamstring) has yet to return from an injury he suffered against the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame game. He did not participate in any drills or team periods.

Chaz Green (undisclosed) returned to the field after missing Saturday’s practice. Eric Ebron had a veteran’s day off.
