Steelers Injury Updates: TE Pat Freiermuth, DL Chris Wormley Each Miss Second Straight Practice

Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth and defensive lineman Chris Wormley both missed their second consecutive day of practice on Thursday, putting their participation in Sunday’s game against the Kansas City in significant doubt.

Freiermuth remains in the NFL concussion protocol after taking a hard, high, illegal hit against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Wormley injured his groin in the same game.

The Steelers seem poised to go with Zach Gentry and Kevin Rader at tight end if Freiermuth can’t play.

On the defensive line, Isaiahh Loudermilk appears to be the next man up at defensive end if Wormley cannot play.

Ben Roethlisberger was a limited participant on Thursday after taking a rare full practice session on Wednesday. Left tackle Dan Moore Jr. was also limited by an illness. Cornerback Joe Haden practiced in full after being given Wednesday off.
