Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson and strong safety Terrell Edmunds missed practice on Friday with injuries, head coach Mike Tomlin announced after practice.

Tomlin did not elaborate on the nature of the injuries and said that both players are considered day-to-day.

Johnson and Edmunds are the second and third Steelers starters to miss practice time in the first week of training camp, joining guard David DeCastro, who missed his fourth straight practice with an unknown ailment.

Tomlin said that wide receiver James Washington and nose tackle Chris Wormley were full participants in practice on Friday. They had been partial participants on Wednesday, while working back from minor injuries early in camp. The team did not practice on Thursday.

Tomlin did not provide a status update on DeCastro, rookie guard Kevin Dotson (left knee) or free agent tight end Dax Raymond (ankle).
