Veteran Steelers CB Could Miss Titans Game

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers listed veteran cornerback Levi Wallace as questionable with a foot injury before Thursday Night Football. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick is out with a hamstring injury. Wallace missed the team’s game against the Jaguars, while Fitzpatrick suffered an injury during the Jaguars game early on.

Damontae Kazee, who is banged up with a hand injury, will make the start in his place. Keanu Neal and Miles Killebrew are expected to see time. If Wallace can not play, James Pierre will fill the role of dime cornerback while Joey Porter Jr. and Patrick Peterson start.

Quarterback Kenny Pickett was listed as a full participant with his ribs banged up. Mike Tomlin said that the ‘door is ajar’ for Pickett to suit up this week. Pickett told the media he would ‘for sure’ play. That appears to be the case, and the physical preparation for Picett is complete.

“Certainly, I’m going to want to see something, absolutely,” Tomlin said. “He’s a young guy. Position withstanding, he is a young guy, so I need to see some physical preparation in order to consider him certainly.”

Both Anthony McFarland (knee) and Cam Heyward (groin) were full participants, too. Tomlin opened the door for both players to return. They activated Heyward from injured reserve on Wednesday and did not make a corresponding move with one roster spot open. McFarland has yet to be activated.
