The Pittsburgh Steelers interviewed Pitt alum and Monday Night Football analyst Louis Riddick for their general manager position in Indianapolis this week, the organization announced Wednesday.
Riddick has spent the last decade with ESPN, but worked the 13 years prior in the front offices of the Philadelphia Eagles and then Washington Redskins.
While he initially started as a pro scout with both franchises, he eventually promoted to director of pro personnel with each.
Riddick played seven season with the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders.
Riddick was interviewed by the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans during last year’s general manager hiring cycle.
