Kenny Pickett Gets Pre-Wedding Workout in with Allen Robinson II

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett is getting married on Saturday in his home state of New Jersey, but he hasn’t been too busy planning his nuptials this week to get some extra work in with his veteran wide receiver.

Pickett and wide receiver Allen Robinson II have been training together in New Jersey, along with Pickett’s personal quarterback coach Tony Racioppi. Racioppi posted a video of Pickett and Robinson working out together on Thursday night.

Of the Steelers’ expected primary receiving targets, Robinson is the only one that didn’t spend any time working with Pickett last year. That’s one of the reasons the New Jersey resident made sure to make to some time to get together for some extra reps with his quarterback.

The other is that even though Robinson was in attendance for most of Steelers OTAs and minicamp, he was unable to perform at full speed for most of the first few weeks as he continued to heal from the foot surgery that ended his 2022 season.

“What a great guy and just a great leader,” offensive coordinator Matt Canada said. “As he’s coming in and getting involved, he has such great pride in his work, great pride in his group, great pride in the offense. He has been a real asset to us as far as what it takes to do it.”

On Saturday, Pickett is tying the knot with Amy Paternoster, who he has been dating since he was still at Pitt. She is also a New Jersey native and was a soccer player at Princeton.
