Steelers Legends Ben Roethlisberger, Brett Keisel Drop the Puck on RMU Hockey Season
Pittsburgh Steelers legends Ben Roethlisberger and Brett Keisel dropped the puck on the 2024-25 season of Robert Morris college hockey.
Pittsburgh Steelers legends Ben Roethlisberger and Brett Keisel helped drop the puck for the start of the 2024-25 Robert Morris college hockey season.
The Colonials hosted Miami University, Roethlisberger’s alma mater, for their home opener at Robert Morris Island Sports Center on Saturday night. Roethlisberger donned a Miami RedHawks sweater, while Keisel was in RMU red, white and blue for the occasion.
Before the game, the Steelers legends gave a little speech in the Robert Morris locker room.

Then, the former Steelers stars dropped the puck between Robert Morris captain Mitch Deelstra and Miami captain Ryan Sullivan.

The Colonials won the game, 4-0, sweeping the weekend series with Miami after beating the RedHawks in Oxford, Ohio on Thursday by a score of 5-1. Robert Morris is in its second season after the program returned from a two-year hiatus between 2021 and 2023.
