PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered three big injuries in the first half of their Week 13 game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, with guard Isaac Seumalo the third starter to leave the game.

Seumalo was injured in the second quarter when the #Steelers offense attempted a goal-line run from the 1-yard line with Najee Harris that ultimately came up just short. The Steelers announced that Seumalo suffered a shoulder injury and was initially listed as questionable to return, but later ruled out.

Nate Herbig is the team’s top backup interior offensive lineman and replaced Seumalo if he is unable to return. Seumalo has not missed a snap this season. Herbig has played parts of two games at right guard.

That play came one down after Steelers starting quarterback Kenny Pickett left the game with an ankle injury. Inside linebacker Elandon Roberts is also out for the game with a groin injury.

A free agent signing from Philadelphia this offseason, Seumalo has brought intensity and veteran stability to the Pittsburgh offensive line. He entered play on Sunday having not given up a sack since Week 6, and the Steelers running game was humming early in the game.

The Steelers ran 19 times for 92 yards in the first half against the Cardinals, with Seumalo helping to lead the way for Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. The Steelers have had a running back rush for at least 99 yards in three consecutive games.
