Steelers-Lions Recap: Offensive Bounces Back
The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to 0-3 in the preseason but the most important takeaway from todays series of events is that the Steelers offense finally showed signs of life by putting the ball into the end zone on their first two drives. Dan Campbell elected to sit his starters but Mike Tomlin’s crew did what they were supposed to do given the state of the competition and that’s make it look easy. There were several encouraging bounce back performances on the offensive side of the football and several key cogs on defense continued their hot start to 2024.
SN analyst Derrick Bell breaks down the game including positive takeaways from the contests, potential concerns still looming as the team approaches the regular season and takes questions from viewers on this Steelers team as we sit here today. Even without a win, it was still nice to see them build some semblance of momenum and more importantly, confidence, as they get ready to square off with the Atlanta Falcons in week one. The defense has looked primed and ready to go for weeks now but the offense is still looking to find a consistent groove. Now, we wait and see which 53 players will be apart of the opening day roster.
