PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers improved to 5-0 when wearing their throwback, block-numbered uniforms by beating the New York Jets on Sunday night.
The Steelers always seem to rise to the occasion when they’re honoring the legacy of Black and Gold teams in the past, and that was especially true on Sunday, as the team played in front of 20 members of the 1974 team that won Super Bowl IX, the franchise’s first-ever Super Bowl.
