PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields explained what happened on the two botched center/quarterback exchanges and broke down his overall performance in his first game with the team during the Steelers’ 20-12 preseason loss to the Houston Texans at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday.
Fields played three series, and finished 5 of 5 for 67 yards and had a 113.2 passer rating. He was sacked twice, losing 15 yards, and rushed three times for two yards with two fumbles. Kyle Allen played the entire rest of the game at quarterback. Russell Wilson is expected to play in the second preseason game against the Buffalo Bills next week.
